Bonnie Tyler - La tigre del Galles

Gallese di nascita, Bonnie Tyler è conosciuta in Italia soprattutto per due brani: "It's a heartache" del 1978, tradotta in italiano in "Notti bianche (wow wow come soffro) e cantata da Patty Pravo e "Total eclipse of the heart", che presentò al Festival di Sanremo da ospite nel 1984.
Io l'ho conosciuta grazie alla pubblicità del carburante "Esso", da qui l'appellativo del titolo "la tigre": Bonnie Tyler cantava infatti lo spot "Have you ever seen the rain?", cover di un brano dei CCR.
Presente in coppia con Amedeo Minghi, con il quale non ha nulla a che spartire, a Sanremo 1991 canta "Endless night", brano orrendo che non viene nemmeno inciso dalla cantante.
Forse pochi sanno che "The best" di Tina Turner, grandissimo successo internazionale, altro non è che una cover di un brano proprio della Tyler.
Ho pronta una discografia dettagliata, che conto di postare al più presto. Sarà per me un piacere parlare di questa grande interprete, quasi sconosciuta in Italia ma molto popolare nel Regno Unito, Germania e Olanda.

Totale eclipse of the heart è un brano che reputo bellissimo e che ha accompagnato un bel periodo della mia vita.

Un brano stupendo ma un video orripilante, degno rappresentante della spazzatura TV di quegli anni

Brava cantante che ha la voce che assomiglia a quella di Rod Stewart, mi piacevano molto sia It's a heartache che Total eclyps of the earth.

Due appuntini (a lei, non a te Roberto !):

A tutto il '78 aveva inciso due soli album: c'era tanto materiale per farne subito un Best?

Più in generale, ma quanti Best ha pubblicato??! addirittura, nel 93, ne sono usciti 7 !!
